SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11TH– 10-11:30 AM
“KEEP ME GREEN IN OCTOBER!” Come learn and discuss what 'Going Green' means to you while learning about how to get more and more GREENS into your diet. We’ll start out with the infamous “GREEN SMOOTHIE”, then on to a SPINACH CURRY DIP, and to top it off, we’ll prepare a CREAM OF BROCCOLI soup using a Yukon Gold potato instead of the usual dairy ingredients. Sure to please everyone’s palate!
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST– 10-11:30 AM
“COME CELEBRATE THE HARVEST” with Root Vegetables! We will be making a delicious Hearty ROSEMARY CHICKEN STEW with Roasted Root Vegetables and a CARROT GINGER BISQUE. Come learn about the health benefits of these underground plants that help keep us grounded! Guaranteed to warm the heart and soul!!
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 22- 10:00-11:30 AM
“TELL ME MORE ABOUT QUINOA” A much healthier alternative to Wheat, Quinoa is wheat-free AND gluten-free and is one of the easiest grains to digest. It contains very high quality protein, too! Come learn more about this versatile grain and learn to make QUINOA TABOULEH and yummy QUINOA PUDDING. We’ll also sample SPROUTED QUINOA and learn how easy it is to sprout right on your countertop in a jar or bowl!! The kids will love it, too! Informative and fun - Don’t miss it!
